Atlanta-based Precision Aviation Group (PAG), has agreed in principal to acquire Pegasus Aircraft Components in Richmond, British Columbia.
The purchase of the company will allow PAG to upgrade services to its customers in the expanding Canadian market operating Bell, Sikorsky, Eurocopter and MDHS/Hughes Rotary Wing aircraft. The new company will be known as Precision Accessories and Instruments Canada (PAI Canada) and will work in conjunction with Precision Heliparts Canada, (PHP Canada). The two Canadian operations will compliment the Atlanta facilities at 495 Lake Mirror Road near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. “The acquisition of Pegasus demonstrates our commitment to our Canadian customers,” said David Mast, PAG President. “Our goal is to continue to provide the best value in both helicopter and turboprop fixed-wing parts sales and service. Our business practices distinguish us in providing technical expertise, exceptional customer Service, and in maintaining large inventory to support our customers.” Ron Breitenstein, owner and General Manager of Pegasus, will join the new company and assume the marketing responsibilities of PAI Canada. “We will continue calling on our current customer base, which right now is about 85 percent of our business,” said Breitenstein, a 39-year veteran of the aviation industry. “Joining with Precision Aviation Group will enable us to develop even better practices for the industry leader in customer service.” The PAI Canada facility will provide a full range of repair and overhaul services to helicopter operators, but will also support regional, corporate, and charter turboprop fixed wing operators as well.
